- Play the Poke Flute at the sleeping Snorlax on Route 12 and the one on Route 16. There are only two in the entire game, both level 30. Save before you wake either one.
- The house behind the Cut tree on Route 16 holds HM02 Fly.
- The house on Route 12 holds the Super Rod; a house in Fuchsia holds the Good Rod.
- Routes 12 and 13 are the only places in Yellow with wild Farfetch'd - in Red and Blue it was trade-only.
