Move · #640

Hyper Beam

Physical TM

Normal-type physical move - in Generation I the physical/special split is decided by the move type, not the move itself. Power 150, Accuracy 90%, PP 5. Taught by TM15 (single use in Generation I). In Generation I there is NO recharge turn if Hyper Beam knocks the target out or breaks a Substitute. This is what makes Tauros, Snorlax and Dragonite so dangerous.

Has Type

Which elemental type or types something has. ONE relationship serves creatures, characters and moves — the old schema had a many2many on one model and a plain many2one on another, which could not be queried together. "Show me everything Fire" is now one query.

Teachable by TM To

A move a Technical Machine can teach this creature. A separate relationship from levelling up because the method changes what the relationship MEANS, and the guide already renders them as separate sections (design SS4.4).
