Two free starters, a stolen TM and a boat ticket

  1. Route 3 and 4, then Mt. Moon. A salesman in the Route 4 Pokemon Center sells a level 5 Magikarp for 500 Poke Dollars. Inside Mt. Moon: Moon Stones, the first Jessie & James fight (Ekans, Meowth and Koffing at L14), and a choice of exactly ONE fossil - Helix (Omanyte) or Dome (Kabuto).
  2. In Cerulean City, the house next to the Pokemon Center holds a free level 10 Bulbasaur - but only if your Pikachu is happy.
  3. Chase the Rocket out of the burgled house to recover TM28 Dig.
  4. Cross the Nugget Bridge on Route 24: beat five trainers for a Nugget, then a trainer just past the bridge gives you a free level 10 Charmander. TM45 Thunder Wave is on this route.
  5. Continue to Route 25 and help Bill - he gives you the S.S. Ticket. TM19 Seismic Toss is here.
  6. Beat Misty: Staryu L18, Starmie L21. Reward: Cascade Badge and TM11 BubbleBeam. This is Pikachu's gym - Thunder Wave, then ThunderShock.
