Bulbasaur
A seed Pokemon that carries a plant bulb on its back. In Yellow it is a free gift, not a starter choice - the girl in the house next to the Cerulean City Pokemon Center hands one over, but only if your Pikachu is happy with you.
Generation I base stats: HP 45, Attack 49, Defense 49, Special 65, Speed 45. Generation I has a single Special stat, used for both special attack and special defense.
Evolution: Evolves into Ivysaur L16
How to get in Yellow: Gift L10: girl in Cerulean City house (Pikachu must be happy)

Has Type
Which elemental type or types something has. ONE relationship serves creatures, characters and moves — the old schema had a many2many on one model and a plain many2one on another, which could not be queried together. "Show me everything Fire" is now one query.
Learns at Level
A move that arrives by levelling up, and the level it arrives at.
| Learns at Level | Level |
|---|---|
| Leech Seed | 7 |
| Vine Whip | 13 |
| PoisonPowder | 20 |
| Razor Leaf | 27 |
| Growth | 34 |
| Sleep Powder | 41 |
| SolarBeam | 48 |
Knows from Start
A move the creature already has when you get it.
Taught by TM
A move a Technical Machine can teach this creature. A separate relationship from levelling up because the method changes what the relationship MEANS, and the guide already renders them as separate sections (design SS4.4).
Taught by HM
A move a Hidden Machine can teach this creature.
Found At
Where something is met, and how. Characters are here as well as creatures: the guide records where Professor Oak stands and where each Gym Leader is fought.
| Found At | Encounter Method | Encounter Level | Encounter Rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cerulean City | Gift | 10–10 | 100 % |
Evolves Into
The next stage of an evolution line. NO trigger, level or item attributes: that data does not exist in this guide today and a transform does not invent it.
