Climb Olivine Lighthouse to learn that Jasmine's Ampharos is ill. Surf across Routes 40 and 41 to Cianwood. Chuck leads with Lv.27 Primeape and Lv.30 Poliwrath; Psychic, Flying, and Electric coverage are effective. After winning, speak to the woman outside for HM02 Fly.

Collect the SecretPotion from Cianwood Pharmacy, return to the lighthouse, and cure Amphy. Jasmine then returns to the Gym with two Lv.30 Magnemite and Lv.35 Steelix. Ground attacks handle all three; Surf is strong against Steelix but not Magnemite.
